THE SAD DEPARTURE OF OUR RHINO

It is a well known fact that South Africa is currently experiencing a depressing situation in it's wildlife arena. With Rhino poaching syndicates rife in the country, Bubesi Lodge has had to take drastic measures to ensure the protection of our two Rhino.

Our decision was to move them to a secure sanctuary where they can concentrate on the protection of these hunted beauties. It has made us reflect on how unfortunate it is that one uneducated belief can bring an animal to near extinction if not corrected quickly enough. With modern medicine as it is today (they literally have a pill for everything) we have to wander why it is still necessary for people to follow a far more expensive belief.

It also makes us wander how many other beautiful creatures on this planet were driven to their demise through uneducated beliefs and fantasies, we are sincerely hoping that this abuse stops soon!
